We’ve never been afraid to follow our own path at The Orkney Distillery, boldly merging tradition with innovation, ingenuity and a dash of rebelliousness. Now, we’re applying that same single mindedness to the release of private whisky casks through our exclusive Latitude 59 Club.
Membership of The Latitude 59 club – the name reflects our northerly position in the world - will be restricted to only 59 members. Each member will become a company shareholder and own one of the first 59 100-litre casks produced at the distillery.
Filled with 59% ABV spirit and set to mature in 2030, each cask will produce around 120 bottles of Orkney Single Malt at cask strength. Members can choose from an ex-sherry or American oak cask - peated or unpeated. All costs are covered by the distillery which includes: VAT, duty*, storage, bottling and any incidental charges.

An annual distillery event in Orkney – Members will be invited to attend an annual event in Orkney for the five years of membership. This includes one evening distillery dinner and a two-night stay in local accommodation for each member and one guest.

Yearly cask samples – Annually, members will receive a 70cl bottle and a 10cl miniature from their cask, allowing them to see and taste the maturation of their cask. Each 70cl bottle will be displayed in custom packaging which forms the panoramic artwork of the 5-year set.

First access to our Orkney Single Malt - Maturing in 2027, each member will receive a bottle of the first new Orkney Single Malt for over 140 years – a real collector’s item! Bottle #1 will go to the first member of the Latitude 59 Club and in sequence thereafter.

An Orkney Distillery welcome pack – Upon joining, members will receive a welcome pack which will include: A 20cl sample of the new-make spirit that went into their cask, a set of 6 whisky glasses, a signed print from a local artist and a bottle of our peated and non-peated blended malt whisky.
- Exclusive access to products & events – Members will be eligible for free tours, tastings and store discount for the duration of their 5-year membership. In addition, members will have exclusive access to new products, special gin releases and Orkney rum casks.
