Here at Orkney Distilling, we don’t just make great spirits, we also believe it’s best served up with a warm welcome, in a friendly atmosphere.  Our comfortable coffee and gin bar sits at the heart of our Distillery & Visitor Centre, overlooking Kirkwall’s bustling harbourfront. The bar’s the ideal place to relax, enjoy a drink, and watch life in the Orkney capital pass by. It’s also the perfect spot for a catch-up with friends or an informal meeting with colleagues. Naturally, you’ll find all of our own spirits behind the bar, along with some carefully selected favorites from fellow Scottish craft distillers. We also offer a wide variety of cocktails, ranging from the ‘classics’ to our own unique recipes.  

For the non-drinkers, we serve freshly ground coffee from The Orkney Roastery, a selection of teas and soft drinks. Children and dogs are most welcome in the bar area and we’re happy to provide activity sheets and crayons for younger visitors, and water for your furry friends! Please note that children and young adults (anyone under 18) are permitted to join us for distillery tours but must be accompanied by an appropriate adult. If you’re looking to upload your holiday photos, catch up on some work, or check out your social media feeds over a coffee, we provide free Wi-Fi and device charging for all visitors!

Gift Shop

Bottles of our hand-crafted Orkney spirits are available to buy from our retail area, located in the front bar at our distillery. We also have a range of merchandise on offer including cocktail glasses, bar blades, sweet treats and more. We’ll be adding more merchandise over time.
