The word is out… we’re partnering with Orkney Folk Festival!
We’re delighted to be joining forces with street food caterer, Beiting and Brew, to provide attendees with food and drink over the course of the 4-day festival. As the producer of the official Orkney Folk Festival gin, Foy Orkney Gin, it’s an honour to play an active role in the festival experience once again.
Established in 1982, the festival has since secured itself as an unmissable event in both Orkney and Scottish folk calendars and is a key event that has contributed greatly to the promotion of Orkney’s wealth of musical talent. The 42nd Orkney Folk Festival will take place between 22nd - 25th May 2025, offering an array of musical events and workshops for festivalgoers.
Stromness Community Centre will undergo its transformation into the much-loved ‘Lounge’ venue. The space will feature a cosy, ticketed area upstairs with cabaret-style seating, offering an intimate setting for a variety of events throughout the festival. Meanwhile, the downstairs pop-up bar will provide a vibrant and welcoming space for festivalgoers to enjoy lively music sessions. This unique combination of events and social spaces has made the Lounge a festival favourite.
While the festival’s base is in Stromness, attendees will also have the chance to experience Orkney hospitality at events across the mainland and in its north and south isles.
Audiences can look forward to performances at the festival by artists from islands including Shetland; Skye; Arran; the Isle of Man; Ireland; Cape Breton; Prince Edward Island; Australia; and Manhattan. Already confirmed to attend at this year's festival are bands such as The Chair, Gnoss, Project Smok, Dreamers’ Circus, amongst others. The 2025 full festival programme will be released in early March.
With just three months to go until this year’s event, we’re working hard to get the Lounge festival ready. Be sure to follow us on social media to be kept up to date with our progress!
