Orkney Gin at the BBC Good Food Show 2016
We were delighted to attend the BBC Good Food Show in Glasgow along with other companies from the Orkney Food & Drink group. The atmosphere was fantastic and we had an amazing reception from everyone we spoke to, most of who were very keen to try our gin.
In addition to our Kirkjuvagr Orkney Gin bottles and gift bags, we also took a small number of branded gin glasses which were extremely popular. We hope to have more of these soon so we can add them to the website and everyone can experience Orkney gin in the best glass!
Over the 3 days we used up all of our gin samples - 5000 in total! This was helped by the fact our stand was right next to the demonstration area. We spoke to loads of people and the Orkney Food & Drink team were amazing to have on board alongside fellow Orkney producers The Island Smokery and Argos Bakery.
We were also very lucky to have a new Kirkjuvagr team member join us. Thora Cant assisted with sales and handing out gin samples which was hugely helpful considering how busy we were.
Thanks to everyone who came past and spoke to us. We hope that this will be the first of many events where we can share our passion for our produce and help to put Orkney on the gin map.
